BDP5200/05 Net Tv down?
Software version is 1.35. It was working perfectly fine yesterday evening but since this morning it will not come up. When the Net TV icon is chosen it displays the Philips background screen but nothing else. WiFi is working fine. I can stream films etc from the upstairs computer without any problems. I have unplugged the player. Still no change. I've cleared any memory and/or cache. Still no change. It simply will not display any apps, in fact it won't display anything when "browse Net TV" is chosen. As stated, it worked flawlessly until this morning and now. Nothing. Is there a server issue? Any ideas to what the problem may be would be greatly appreciated. I'd hate to have to return it as it's a pretty good, all round device.
Solved. In a fashion.
I had to do a complete reset of the player and go through the laborious set up process again, including having to re-register with philips using the same email, sort out the apps into my preferred positions and removed the mostly pointless ones etc. and I have access once again. I hope that this isn't a common occurrence. Other than that, this is a fine blu ray player considering what it offers.
