47 PFL 7697K Problem witch PC connection

Hi,

ive got the 47 PFL 7697K and i wanna ask. do i absolutly need a router to connect my PC with TV? can i not simple connect the PC /Laptop --> TV, with an LAN Cable and HDMI Cable?

What about the USB recording. I connected my USB HDD and i can see my dirextories on TV screen. But i can't find anything how to record something.

HDMI connection is possible. LAN connection between PC and TV is also possible.
But for Recording you need Internet Connection.

But when i only use the LAN cable the TV only searchs continuously
for Media Server Software. Do i need to connect the HDMI at the same time?

Hi

If you use the "Search PC" Function, the TV searches for DLNA certified Servers in the Network.
That is the way on how to share Files between PC and TV.

but why doesn't it stop searching? it searchs and searchs,.... without any results?

I only want to play some video clips or pictures, or music from my PC to TV, does this works only with LAN cable?
Or do i need the HDMI cable for access to my datas on my Notebook or PC
