After several days without IP-EPG today the IP-EPG finally shows the background and channel information, but the program information is still not there... :(
Philips site still shows a green smiley and the message that all services are working: NOT !
here in Italy NET TV service is not working at all today. The TV displays:"The Philips server was not found...".
Yesterday NET TV was working very slowly (the "Cine Trailer" App was not able to show the trailers without buffering every 5 seconds.
2 days ago it was not working too.
Philips could you please solve this issue asap? :mad:
the whole day I see that Net TV is not available due to maintenance. Why is this executed during daytime? When will it available again, hours and hours without Net TV due to maintenance is frustrating.

Please make a Sticky with the net server status. So a message provided with a Sticky in which the server status is written in words. And... close that message so no adding new messages is possible
Advantage of a Sticky is that it will always be at or near the top in this thread and then there will be just 1 message.
Now you have to read all messages to find out that the server is up and running again and that you have to shut down TV etc.
This request is congruent with what abaekgaard has written few msgs before.
just look here, the server state is green or red symbol if something is going wrong.
You can also have this with two clicks: Forum / Smart TV Forum independent of any post.
@bta: I know that, but that is only a status indicator which is definitly not enough. Server was a long time green but if you do not know that you have to switch off TV, which actually should be omitted by Philips, you have no net tv. So with a sticky message which only is writable for admin/moderators is much much better because additional info can be written in that msg.
The green indicator has been on in cases when the server has been down (not updated recently).
When you check the departures of trains on the internet this happens too. You get the message: All traffic is normal ..... even when you are standing on the platform and no trains at all arrive.
Real time updating of status might not be possible?? ... but a message saying that the server has been down from xx.xx to yy:yy will be very helpfull! (like some telecompanies information)
as usual here, Net Tv is out of order....
There is no need for further comment as. Just only one, when the Net Tv service shoul be ready...

I still try to access NetTv, login screen goes to step 3 and says "Connecting" without going further. I let it be for hours without any progres.

I think the message from Philips is that since NET-TV and IPEPG are 'free services' you should not expect them to work 24/7 .....
Unfortunately this is not what they have communicated in their sales material.
So here you are. Another dissatisfied customer.
