Optical Cable attachment

Hi I bought a new HTS3541 and have attached for TV --> HTS audio an optical cable, while the cable is a tight fit on the TV at the back of the phillips HTS there is a lot of "Play" or movement in the connection - ive reversed the cable and got the same thing. it does click when inserted but can move 360 around the port.

I have audio sync issues the audio come later than the lips move.

I'm applying the new firmware upgrade but am concerned about the port connection.

Any advice would be appreciated.
