Automatically use Home Cinema System for TV Audio
I've bought a HTS3531 (HCS) to connect to my 40PFL6606 (TV). I want to use my HCS for my TV audio. The HCS supports HDMI 1.3 (HDMI-CEC) and EasyLink connectivity. The HCS is now connected through HDMI to the TV, and through RCA (Red/White) for audio (Aux). This way I can't get the sound to be played through the HCS, it doesn't automatically switch to the speakers of my HCS.
The only way how I get the sound through the HCS is by using a 3.5mm jack in the headphones port but now I can't make use of the Easylink functionalities (i.e. I still need two remotes to change the volume).
Another issue is that the TV has an coaxial optical out (round port) and the HCS has a Toslink (square port). Would my TV-sound be played through the HCS if the optical ports were used instead of the RCA?
Or is the problem that my HCS only supports HMDI 1.3 (CEC) and no HDMI 1.4 (ARC)?
I've read all the manuals but I can't get it to work, I've tried all the different settings for hours.
Thanks in advance for your help.

Quinten
