GoGear Connect 3 Bricked
Hi everyone,
I having trouble with my GoGear Connect 3 16GB (SA3CNT16K/37). My sister just returned from USA travel. She asked to me for what i want from there. I wanted a GGC3. I recieved this yesterday (09/08/2012).
When first time i power up the player is perfect! But i would to say Songbird is poor application (PC and on player both). I uptated my player's firmware after set-up this. Yesterday, I installed some applications, transfered some musics and I shutdowned the player.
This morning i can't power-up my player. It's stucking while boot and resetting itself. Seeing Philips logo and screen is blinking (resetting). My PC doesn't recognise it.
I pushed the reset button on the player for a while, work worked for me.
I tried to repair with Songbird many times. It's so ridiculous;
While internet connection is up on PC, Songbird recognising my player as a SA4...
Then, I un-installed the Songbird and tried repair without connecting internet. But it's not worked too. It's failing...
I took a look inside Songbird's folder and I found my SA3CNT firmware. But, I think this firmware for 8GB model.
The path of the firmware I have found; " C:\Program Files\Philips\Philips Songbird Resources\Firmware\SA3CNT "
I extracted the SA3CNT.zip then I found ucl.xml file.
Code:
<UCL>
<CFG>
<STATE name="BootStrap" dev="MX51" />
<DEV name="MX51" vid="15A2" pid="0041"/>
<STATE name="Updater" dev="Updater" />
<DEV name="Updater" vid="066F" pid="37FF" />
</CFG>

As you can see 8G writed in the file. Where can I get the true firmware for my device and how can I flash it? Or how do I get rid of it?
My English isn't very well. I may have made some mistakes. Any help would be welcome. Thanks.

Hi,
the SA3CNT16 is the Android player, right? As far as i know, you can only update the player via WIFI...

Hey again. Finally i recovered my player. I followed this steps (this might help others) ;
1) I fully uninstalled Songbird software from my PC. (I using Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit)
2) I cleared and deleted this directories;
- C:\Users\thelastguardian\AppData\Local\Philips-Songbird
- C:\Users\thelastguardian\AppData\Local\VirtualStor e\Program Files (x86)\Philips
- C:\Users\thelastguardian\AppData\Roaming\Philips-Songbird
- C:\Program Files (x86)\Philips
also i cleared Temp directory in \AppData\Local\
3) I removed old SA3CNT devices in device manager with using this; execute cmd (command prompt) with administrator privileges. Write and execute this commands: "set devmgr_show_nonpresent_devices=1" and "start devmgmt.msc", then choose "Show hidden devices" in view menu. Remove all SA3CNT devices.
4) Install Songbird and execute it as an administrator. Good luck.
