No audio just static sound on 42pfl7662d

Hi all

I have a Phillips 42pfl7662d tv which has just static and no sound when connected to a DVD player with either a scary or hdmi cable. Tv mute is off and picture comes just no sound. Any ideas what the issue could be?.

Welcome to the TV Forum!

Could you please try the DVD player on another TV? or connect another device with HDMI or Scart to your 42pfl7662d TV.
