Subtitles not displayed correctly: Regional accented letters

Hello,

My TV is a 42" 42PFL3507H/12 bought this October/2012.
My firmware is up to date: T921E - 2.12 (August/2012

Using the Philips media server from another PC connect to the LAN, I can see the movie on the TV, but the subtitles are not correctly displayed.

In Portugal we use accented letters such as a´ e´ o´ ã ô and ç
These letter does not appear correctly.

Any tips to solve this country big problem?
(Its impracticable to read these subtitles)

It is unsolved problem for a long time as I read here on forum. I noticed that only ISO 8559-1 Latin-1 code page is supported. Your problem rests unsolved for now until Philips managed to implement also other code page tabels. UTF-8 would solve all problems. But their support team says it is no promising. Big no no for Philips.

Indeed its a big NO!
My other net TV have all this working like a charm - Its a Samsung!

All the best and lets hope that Philips software programming team can put this on the next release...

Maybe in year 2015 model ... don't expect too much .. Philips sticks to his policy. It's not a technical problem.
