Hi,

I purchased a 47PFL6877H several weeks ago.

I had clouding issues but it was solved by philips by changing the screen.

But now, I have noticed that on the right side of the screen, I have a purple gradient color from the outside to the inside of the picture (on about 10 cm).

On a white screen it is obvious and particulary annoying.

I tried to take some pictures, sorry for the quality :

The after sales told me to upgrade the firmware, but I am not convinced that it will solve this problem and I'm not excited to upgrade to the latest firmware.

What should I do ? Is there problems with this screen ?

What software version is installed on your TV at the moment?
I would advise you to update ot latest software update.

I upgrade from 133.4 to the latest.

The purple fringe is still here.

It's more noticeable with a slightly gray image (i.e a black and white movie) ou if watch the screen from the side.

I have the latest firmware (I upgraded yesterday) and the purple fringe is still noticeable, especialy with a black and white background.

And I have noticed that the geometry of the screen is not so good :

This is an image in 1980x1020 made to detect if the screen is able to display it without something missing.

On my latest TV, this image was full and all the pattern was displayed.

Hello,

I have upgraded to the latest version available, no change. I have phoned to the philips france, the screen will go to a station to be checked.

Problem solved. Philips France has agree to change the screen, now I have a pristin screen without cloudong or purple fringe.
