Is anything going to be done about the new device message when there is no new device. Extremely annoying. Also smart tv often fails to log on and then I need to switch off and on the tv again. Wish I had listened to friends an bought a Samsung.
Hi,
Having updated my 42PFL6907 to this latest firmware I have the following main problems :
- crackling sound using my BDP-5200 when switching pages in a main DVD or BR menu... Horrible ! Probably linked to another problem already raised for HDMI devices with Dolby Digital sound content
- Ambilight turn on while the TV is in standby mode.... Need to completely turn off the TV, but then the PVR function is not enabled.
Hope next update will correct these problems
By the way, anyone with download link for 133.50 firmware ?
Thanks
once installed the version 150.48.14 tell you who follow exitiendo failures.
1) the HDNM still in the same state, many stresses and sharp images and little bit smoother.
2) to the tv encerder takes a while to load the system. you have to wait a while to be operational.
3) 3D moving images are blurred (I guess it's because HDNM)
4) to put the game way, I always aparace message naming the source, ALWAYS.
I think this the most important issues. and priority. later will write the other problems.
All these opinions have been caught in a very important forum for Spain with this tv.
greetings hope eventually resolved. thanks
I just realised that I also have the crackling sound when switching channels.
I'm only using the internal tuner and a favourite list composed of a mix of analog and digital channels.
I take the signal through the optical(toslink) output.
Setup: 47pfl6007t - 150.48.13 - dvb-c - no other input used.
Another question, a bit of topic; Is it possible to get multi-ch. output through toslink from a hdmi input?Namely multi-ch. passthrough.

A big thanks ;)
[QUOTE=crocowood;45706]Hi Crocowood,
I would recommend you to refer and download any firmware update exclusively from the Philips Website.
You can find the page for your TV here where you can download the file and also find the instructions.
That website was not officially licensed to carry Philips software updates and we cannot guarantee the safety of the files.
Regards,
Marco
[QUOTE=Philips - Marco;45708]Thank you Marco, but unless I'm wrong previous firmware versions are not available from the official Philips Website :(
And since the latest one includes new bugs I would rather step back to the original firmware delivered with my TV set, i.e. 133.50
It is inexcusable that Phillips takes so long to fix things. I will write to consumentenbond to see what they say. I keep getting new dEvice messages, smart tv sometimes does not log on, ambilight sometimes does not go off in standby, menu spontaneously shows. What a piece of junk .
Here is an examply of the faulty PNM. Despite the fact, that the whole picture is colapsing showing the typical artefacts and halos, look at the "Vox"-logo on the upper left side causing ghost images.
This is what the picture is all about, when PMN is engaged. Philips can't tell anyone, that they didn't see this issue yet...

Yesterday's entry is somehow not visible any more, so once again :
@ Philips support: Are you working Is there a solution on the horizon?
This is my post from yesterday:
