You are lucky you have this option. I don't, and I am stuck with a TV that does not have even EPG :(
I've tried to update the firmware directly from the internet connection but the Tv tells me that nothing is available for this model.
I'm downloading it from Philips Support Page right now. I'll keep you informed regarding the bugs' situations.

Hi,
the update isn't available yet via the integrated update mechanism.
Toengel@Alex
I've updated the firmware to the latest version 140.27: the intermittent sound lost is still present! :-(
The release notes speak about a "Improved connectivity to improve compatibility with other external devices".
Which devices? Which connectivities are improved? For sure not the mine one.
I'm contacting a consumer association and my lawyer in order to have the money back and bring the TV + Sound bar to the shop due to a lack of conformity
I cannot conceive that a prestigious brand as well as Philips can provide a sound problem so scandalous with non solution since several months.
It should be the most urgent priority for the R&D dept.
The TV is mainly made of "sound and image". It's a shame.

Hi,
where do you find the release notes? Can you post a link?
Toengel@Alex
Hi,
I have confirmation that another firmware will be released in january. Release notes for 140.27 will be included in the release notes of the coming firmware release (in january).
Toengel@Alex
@ Toengel, any idea when in January it might be released?
Hi,
in the next 3 weeks :D - I think at the end...
Toengel@Alex
Cheers Toengel, yeah probably at the end of the month
The release note for this fw version are not detailed.

I've seen (in the release note link) that, for every new version:
Software history - Main modifications
Each release contains:
All solutions identified in earlier version.
Improved connectivity to improve compatibility with other external devices

Hi,
thats a standard paragraph in each release note document - independent of the release version...
Toengel@Alex
I know that is a standard paragraph, what is annoying is the fact that my problem of intermittent sound lost is not solved.
Is very irritating to watch a film with that problem: the dialogues cannot be understand.

Hi,
concerning the next firmware release... Please note that software development isn't a time-fixed process. It always could happen that a major bug could be found in the last phase of a release. So don't count on fixed dates. A software release is done, when its done (like John Carmack always says...) ;)
Toengel@Alex
Watching 3D With the new firmware I have come across to a much less crosstalk than with the 025 one,
Is is way to noticeable to ignore it. I can not expalin it other than the new firmware addresses the 3D criosstalk sonehow,
I have the new cinema tv (9955 model)
Has anyone else experienced anything close to my observation and would like to share it?
Cheers,
Nick
