Hi all please help me, my Philips 42PFL4307H/12 have a sound problem, when i start 3d movie from my pc by media server, movie work good but for sound tv write that sound is not supported. My tv version is Q554E-0.92.0.0_bld37a. Someone please help me and tell me what to do, did i need to upgrade to latest ver 0.96... to fix sound problem and to watch 3d movie with sound. Thank you!
I read the troubleshooting info and i see that this format is not supported:
Audio #1
ID : 2
Format : DTS
Format/Info : Digital Theater Systems
Codec ID : A_DTS
Is it possible to watch 3d movie with DTS sound in after new firmware update? Or please tell me the way how to watch 3d movie with DTS sound?

I had the same problem. I am not sure, that Philips will support dts format - if you will learn some details, I would like to know as well
So I have extracted sound from .mkv file and changed codec of the sound, particularly dts to ac3 - Philips supported format. There are various applications for this, I have useed mkvtoolnix and eac3to
It took me several hours to understand all details, but then conversion is quite easy....

Thank you for replay and info about soft. I try with mkvtoolnix in easy way, extract only sound and produce by pc but you need to start in same time and it work. Im wondering why Philips not put this codec in the tv? Friend of mine buy samsung led 3d tv in 2010 when they relies led tv and it have DTS support all 3d movie work great with sound on his tv and till today DTS if most used codec in 3d movies what you can find on the net. I think that problem is in the technology becouse DTS sound runnung with 1510kbps but AC3 running 640kpbs slow speed. What about implement DTS codec in new ver. of Philips media server and new tv firmware, any moderator please answer?

DTS licence is costing money. this is why LG and philips don;t offer DTS support for the cheaper models.
