First test results, after upgrading via ECD.
1. Wifi connection with full signal strength (65 mbps) connected to a DLink Dir655...
BDP7600/12 same problem here; on firmware 1.35 as well as 1.55. Hardly usable; sometimes jumps to Radio, sometimes plays wanted broadcast.
TV 37PFL9604 functions ok with Uitzending Gemist.
Are you referring to the 1.55 update? I cannot find it on the support site, as i prefer to update via USB.
Is the player somewhat more usable now? I do not see any referral to DLNA and Wifi in the...
Where did you get this update; via the network update on the player? Or...?
When i see your experience with, it might not bring an improvement.
Any news on an update after 1,42, in order to solve the problems mentioned here?

Thank for the info you Alex; i already was afraid it was something like that. Rather pity that Philips distributes a Firmware per ECD that almost cripples a BD-player.

Can you please tell us what ECD version means? Is this an improved version over 2012-01-26 version and if so, where can i download it?

Wonder if this is solved already.
I have exactly the same problem on brand new BDP7600, which firmware might be very similar to BDP8000.
On a brand new BDP7600 the NOS app stops playing after about 3 minutes, where the item is about 15 minutes.
It occurs on all items of NOS.
Another app 'Hardware.info' stops around 2/3 of any item....
