Hi Just wondering, do philips provide a solution to tie down a tv to a tv stand/ wooden tv unit
Something like this?...
Mine seems to be working fine (touch wood) but I did a factory reset of the TV (cleared Picture and Audio settings) and then did a Reinstall TV so there was no TV channels stored on the TV. BEFORE I...
No sound drops on my (32pfl5405h/05)
I have the the firmware on my TV for over a week and havent noticed any sound drops (32pfl5405h/05)
Thats great news.hopefully it will pass testing. Thanks for letting us know the progress of the firmware.
No update from Philips, means that their still working on it.
Which is bad news as they have been working on the problem since start of January at latest, so they probably dont have a fix !!
@Philips, any update on how the Software fix is progressing?
Shouldnt you do a factory reset of the stored channels also?
yeah I always do a power cycle of about a minute every night (using the power switch under the screen) and that seems to have reduced the occurrence of the sound loss on 140.27 a lot.
+1 Think thats a very good idea
Seen as the problem was introduced by 140.25 Im sure the Philips software designers will figure it out.
@Philips Thanks for the update!
yeah I know, but I was hoping for some info that the software is in testing at the moment and planned to be released in a two weeks (or something like that)
@Philips Any update on the sound issue?
lets hope Philips have plenty of motherboards !!
Thanks for the update ecsthor, if its still going ok for you next week, I will get philips support out to my house to replace the motherboard on my tv also.
Yeah I think this is the cause of the intermittent sound problem, I think when the TV is trying to display a more software intense picture (HD or a some different setting to standard) when the sound...
Try setting the picture mode to something different than "standard" and see does the noise loss still occur.
Is 140.27 still installed on the TV?
