No its not... I replaced so called "media player" function of TV with Xtreamer DVD and im able to FF/RW all of my movies while using same DLNA server, it also knows how to decode DTS sound and show...
This was fixed in 140.025 i think. You can switch to screen setting autozoom (i think thats english translation for function i mean) which does what you ask for.. at least works fine for me
So i was testing 140.032 for some time now... and im very dissapointed... it didnt fix sound loss but made it even worse then before... just after upgrading and starting TV already after 20 seconds i...

i had problems with my HDD also but it was power related... i needed 2 USB ports to power up disk, else it wouldnt start spinning
If they configure their TVs, like their servers help us god haha... disabling listing of folders in apache on public servers is beginner's stuff...
There is solution... sell your TV they dont want to support subtitles... im getting very frustrated with this set... i feel like i wasted my money on this... :(
i use tversity and its fine for playing MKV but they cant contain DTS sound, search for popcorn audio converter tool which converts DTS sound to AC3 in like 10 minutes... not best solution but hey it...
same here... sound loss on internal speakers when using STB over HDMI... already angry with it... i think ill send it back to shop and let them have fun with it...

I was using my TV as media player from PC mostly, but today i was watching TV channels from STB connected on HDMI1 and im getting sound problem too... didnt notice this before while playing media...
those ping statistics said sent=x received=x lost=0 i hope, so that means your communication between PC and TV is working... you said you have firewall off so that shouldnt bother you also...
