I have followed your instructions up to step 3. Then after turning on the speakers I've got the green light blinking swiftly for about 1-2 minutes. After that it started blinking red....

I have exactly the same problem with my DS9800W/10 - it came up today however clicking seems faster in my speakers. I've been one happy user since october 2012. Please post if you find out anything....
