As you can read ,the software has tested in the 7000 series and work well (i got it from Phillips esspecially for my 7605H ).
So its a 7000 and a 8000 software upgrade, The only difference between...

Phillips Consumer suports sent the download link to me to resolve the problems with NetTV.
I have a 37PFL7605H/12, so i think it must work for the 7000 range.
Maybe it also works for the 8000 range...
