As the player is not responding to the remote control I cannot set it up. However, I can press 'TV vol +/-' on the remote control and the TV responds correctly....

I have the above player. I can only switch on/off the player with the remote control. Other functions (home, play, eject, etc) do not work.

It was set to Energy Saving. I set it to Game but the picture had a strong bluish tint to it. so I then set it to Cinema and so far so good.

It's only the Xbox that's connnected to the TV.

I didn't change any Smart Picture. I just left it as is when I set it up the first time.
