Hi!
I have been waiting for each new firmware, eager to see true 24p without 2:3 Pulldown implemented on the 5605H. Any news on this topic?
This depends on the HD Natural Motion setting. When turned off, it does a 2:3 Pulldown, unfortunately. When turned on, the frame interpolation kicks in. However, I have no idea how many frames are...
The "cinema" mode is just another preset. All presets share the same options. There is no "special" mode for 24p playback.
The possible refresh rates would interest me as well, considering the possible implementation of 24p playback with a 5:5 pulldown with a firmware upgrade. Not very likely, but I refuse to give up...

So, when I select the "Cinema" smart picture mode preset, the TV changes its usual 2:3 pulldown to a say 4:4 or 5:5 pulldown? I always thought the presets were just presets and do not change anything...
@petasis:
do the following to test if your TV supports native 24p: get a media player that is capable of 1080p24 and 1080p60. Mine is a WD TV live. Select each setting in the media player and watch...
Hi,
I was wondering, why Philips is so reluctant to support real 24p playback like all other brands do now. I mean, sure, there is this motion compensation technique they want to sell as an...
