Not gonna happen.
Try to manually eject the tray.
I agree. After the long downtime at the end of last year this forum has become useless.
Go to Settings-->Video-->Watch 3D Video and set it to 2D.
^Is this really the best you can do?
Can someone more competent answer this thread please? Philips QK, where are you? :) I remember she helped me to obtain an old firmware for BDP3200 a while ago.
It's been all over the news a few months ago. http://blogs.wsj.com/source/2013/01/29/philips-exits-consumer-electronics/
Will we see new models of Philips blu ray players in 2014? And what about the firmware support for current models in the near future?
Hi. I need an old firmware Version 2.22 for BDP3280 player. That firmware was released in January, 2012.
Currently installed version is 2.11.
The reason I ask is because ver. 2.22 is the last...
BDP3200 is a 2011 model.
That xls states that the following audio codecs are supported in MKV container: PCM, AC-3, DTS core, MPEG, MP3, WMA, AAC, HE-AAC. As you can see, no DTS-HD.
Probably it is DTS-HD MA?
I guess there is an issue with the drive mechanics.
Because 1.73 was the last firmware before manufacturers had to comply with a certain regulations ;)
Forgot to mention, the player is BDP3200/98, s/n KX1A1112524388.
I just bought the player, it is still with a factory firmware v.1.53.
If it doesn't play any blurays or DVDs it is obviously faulty. You don't need to update the firmware, you need to return it to where you bought it from.
Does anyone still have a BDP3200 firmware released in May (http://www.supportforum.philips.com/en/showthread.php?5807-BDP3200-Latest-Firmware-upgrade-(V-1-73)-has-been-released) or June...
Manually eject the tray. Maybe it will get unblocked.
Still no fix for Alien Anthology (just tried it with this new FW)... I wonder what are those mysterious "Improved disc playability" fixes.
It is obviously a problem with the optical drive. Time to buy a new player.
I also contacted them almost a year ago about the Alien Anthology zooming problem. They still didn't fix it.
Chipset is not the problem. Mediatek devkit tools (SDK) are the problem, as far as I know.
Name at least one. (LG BD390 has a Broadcom BCM7601 chipset, despite what that article says).
There isn't a single NTFS-capable player with above mentioned MT8520 chipset. It's probably a limitation of Mediatek SDK.
