Yes i think so to,it has still 2 weeks of warranty.I have the player almost 2 years now.
The display appears after 10 to 15 minutes,so thats not good to.

Oke i did load factory defaults en en setuped the player again.

Does not work,UNKNOWN is displayed in the display.I can hear the player,the laser? when it tries to read the discs it starts and...

I tried the stick i got from philips,there was no upg_all folder in it.I made the folder myself en now it worked.Got he new update version 1.63.

I got software from philips en downloaded myself and the version is BDP7500_S_B.

How do i do that?

I emaild Philips and got an usb stick from them with newest sowftware 1.63 but that don't work either.No valid software found its says.
