Unfortunately, it's not a mark on the screen.

The spot has the size of +/- one pixel. So very small (<1mm).
As I know it is here, I can spot it from 2m...

I've to say I'm a bit sensitive to pixel defect. In 3 days of use, I'm the only one in my family to have noticed this spot.
You're right to say dark defects...

I'm a new owner of a 37PFL9606.
FYI: this is my first LCD TV.
Very happy so far.

Only problem: I've a small dark spot (like an always black pixel, or a small dust in the screen)...
