@Philips - Benedickte: Is Philips doing anything with this feedback? Will there be a new software update to solve the many bugs still left in the firmware or has Philips decided not to support the...
These are server errors that can only be solved by Philips. Reinstalling your tv won't work.
14.101 introduced some problems that were not existent in 14.99. The latter 14.104 fixed those problems.
14.101 is no longer available.
Why do that? 14.101 is more crippled than 14.104.
@Philips - Mark: I can't use the recoding function. The IP-EPG shows no info for Ned1, Ned2 and Ned3.
Does this also count for the uptime performance for this year?
...
@Philips - Mark: Please enlighten us how starting playback of a USB recording without the IP-EPG should be a hardware thing.
At this moment this function works like this: you go to your...
@Philips - Mark: I kindly request *again* to separate the USB recording function from the IP-EPG for the 2011 TV's so we can watch recordings even when the IP-EPG server is down. If it works for the...
Hi all,
Lately I've been watching some new 3D movies on Bluray (Prometheus, Avengers, Brave) and I notice quite a lot of crosstalk (ghosting) on my 2011 Philips Cinema Platinum (58PFL9956). It was...
It could be a country related thing. It could be that the servers are not reachable for some countries. It works in the Netherlands again this evening.
Shame of Philips again for being this...
It should work without any pre processing. Digital Living Network Alliance (DLNA) works by the principle of universal plug and play. PLUG AND PLAY. Philips succeeded in crippling this function and...
Then you should return it and buy a Samsung tv as it seems that all Samsung tv's support subtitles via DLNA. Philips (or TP Vision) is too arrogant to actually listen to the needs of its customers. I...
No, this is not possible and very frustrating. Philips should separate the recording function from the IP EPG and make them work independently.
I kindly request this *feature*, again!
Not necessarily true. If Philips doesn't consider the problem with local dimming on the 2011 TV models as a major issue or a priority issue nothing will happen. Doesn't mean it can be solved as I...
I agree, I have now the Philips Cinema Platinum (58PFL9956), a TV with a RRP of € 3600,-. For this amount of money I expect not only major issues to be resolved, but all issues.
Also, I don't...
It should work out of the box
You can change the output resolution of the Apple TV to match the max. resolution of your tv but only when you have an image on screen. Maybe you can try changing it on a different tv at a friend /...
So what does actually happen?
You turn on the Apple TV, the front led is on (white). You connect the Apple TV with the HDMI cable to the TV and change the TV source to the HDMI input.
What do...
Does tour TV have an HDMI connection? It is the only way to connect it.
And this is not right as you put it up here. What was fixed was a watchdog in the standby software that would start a count every time the Vendor ID of a connected HDMI device would not be...
@JuAN: What do you mean by saying "not blocking"? Who was talking about blocking?
Also, why do you say full control is possible with this icon? This 1 icon only redirects you to the HTS (this is...
TV Model: 58PFL9956H/12
Previous Firmware: 14.101
Positive:
+ resuming TV recording seems to be working again
Negative:
- 1) Local Dimming: gray bars on 16:9 content instead of black
- 2)...
Same here with HTS8562/12, seems to be normal.
Hi JuAn,
I have 3 remarks about your post:
1) I wish you were more responsive about this issue here in the forum, than it wouldn't have taken me 1 year effort to bring it into the attention and...
Yes, this applies to all language versions given the fact that the software updates are universal. For more info on how to properly upgrade see: #86, for the files see: #94
