Ariaz 4GB not recognised by Windows 7
Hi everybody
Today I bought this new Philips GoGEAR Ariaz 4GB, or SA4ARA04.
I tried to connect it to the PC, but it did not get recognized by Windows at first.
After a few tries it was found as Actions USB 2.0 (HS) WinUSB Device.
I tried manually installing songbird, but that does not recognize it either.
When I used "Repair my Philips" I followed the instructions, Holding the Volume+ button while reconnecting, and it then said that I should check the internet connection.
All of the time the internet has been working properly.
I tried using the reset button on the Ariaz, but it did not help.
Anyone have an idea on how to solve this?
Here are my PC specs:
Philips Songbird version: 2.6.1 Build: 6.1.2265; Rev: 885; Firmware: UNIVER
Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit, Service Pack 1
Songbird version 1.11.1
CPU: AMD FX-6100 3.33Ghz
RAM: GEiL Evo Corsa DDR3 1866Mhz
GPU: XFX Radeon HD6870 Double Dissipation
Motherboard: ASUS M5A78L-M/USB3
I hope you can help me, if you need any more information, just ask
Thanks!

Umm, it would be appreciated to at least hear from one of the support team.
I will have to return it by Friday or I won't get my refund, so that would be very disappointing.

I just bought the 16 gig version of the MP3 video player and have Windows 7. I did not have any problem with installing Songbird, connecting my MP3 via USB port, or having Windows 7 recognize it. I did not have to hold the Volume + button to have it work. That lame little screen that says it will go away if you hold that button? Just ignore and launch Songbird again. That worked fine for me.
The only thing different about our setup is that you have AMD and I have Intel. That should not matter. Alsp my version of Songbird is newer than yours. Go to the Philips site and download that one.
Philips Songbird version: 2.5.6 Build: 5.6.2119; Rev: 831; Firmware: SA4ARA08KF_37
Hope that helps.
