Official list of codec supported for 2012 TVs?
Hi,
I found the following post in the forum
ForumTV Forum Supported CODEC overview for ALL models (TV, HTS, and Blu-ray)
http://www.supportforum.philips.com/...S-and-Blu-ray)
which details the containers, video and audio codecs, as well as maximum bitrates supported by Philips TVs up to 2010 and Blu Ray players up to 2011.
Where can I find a detailed list of supported containers, codecs and bitrates for 2012 TVs?
On a side note, I have .MKV file with High@4.1 profile, 11.4 Mbits/sec, the TV doesn't want to play it. The DSL box can, though. I can live with that, but I would like to know the exact player specifications for my TV (42pfl6067) - this would help.
Many thanks in advance!
MF

It's better if you copy all data with mediainfo.
If there is a DTS audio track, tv don't play that file (if is first audio track?).
If you search on a user manual, you find a codec list.

Got it to work without reencoding the file, just demuxing/remuxing.
Demuxed the video and audio tracks.
Remuxed the mkv with one audio track (just because I only need one - the player supports multiple audio tracks just fine apparently) making sure the following is true:
- video track first, before the audio track
- I set "Default: true" for the video track, didn't bother to do it for the audio track
I.e. I used the second method described here:
http://www.fanhow.com/knowhow:Fix_MK...Files_27725469
When you remux, when you add the video track at the beginning, you get a message box saying you must specify manually the frame rate. I did it, and provided the original frame rate value given by mediainfo. I also specified the original Display size (resolution).
