TV Stuck on red Light Wont turn on Model 32PF 3302/10

The TV is on permanent red light when I try to turn on with remote the screen lights for a blip and darkens and thats about it. I'm prepared to change the power board or main board if only I had an idea as to the most likely board at fault.
