    WAS 7500 / 12 not booting

    Hi there,
    Wanted to listen to my good old WAS 7500 again - but it couldn't recognize my password for Internet Radio.
    So I made a reset to Factory Settings, plugged it again to my LAN network with static IP - all good.
    Then I tried to upgrade the firmware (I was in 1.26 and wanted to try 1.31) through WADM.
    First, the firmware upgrade page doesn't recognize the wac7500_update.bin and it says "invalid file name" (I haven't modified the file name).
    The issue is that now, the station doesn't boot... it's on "Starting up, please wait..." and never moves...
    Is there a combination of buttons to reset to factory settings?

    Please don't tell me it's bricked and that I need to bring it to repair.... I bought it almost 10 years ago and it was working well...

    EDIT - after about 30min, it eventually started and it's now working almost correctly...

    It just gives me an "incorrect password" when I try to login to the Internet Radio.
    Looks like this is a known issue which requires manual update from the backend.

    Hello again,

    We would like you to try the following 7 steps, to see if they can help, before we turn to a reset:

    1- Initiate network, internet on the device (wired or wireless)
    2- Try to access internet radio
    3- Enter email address when it pops up and press enter(ok).
    4- It will again pop-up to enter a password (PLS DO NOT ENTER PASSWORD)
    5- Step 3 would have triggered an email to the email address. Click the link in email and complete registration.
    6- Once the registration is completed on the MyPhilips website, come back to the device and set password on the device (Note: This is not to be confused with MyPhilips Password, it can be anything that you want it to be.)
    7- After entering password, it creates a profile on the device and then you will be able to access internet radio.

    hello Christoffer,
    so I followed your steps:
    1 - 2 - 3
    4 = I waited for the email - Your registration at Club Philips
    5 = I clicked and completed the registration. email address = the one from my profile
    6 = I came back to the device and I entered a password - but it complained "incorrect password - please try again"
    I tried a different one - more complex - but same issue.
    Looks like it needs a reset ?

    Thanks for the reply. I have just been informed by the responsible department that we have a technical issue at the moment and that is most likely why you haven’t been able to connect and reset the password. They are working on it and we will let you know when you can try to go through the process again. A reset at this point will unfortunately not help. Thank you for your understanding.
