    Fidelio B5

    Hello everyone (Translated by Google)
At the beginning of January 2015 I bought Fidelio B5 - firmware (MCU-19). I downloaded the new firmware from the Philips support. But I can not update the software on the device. Everything I do as instructed. When trying to update, the display shows constantly UPG letters. At this time, on the removable speakers is flashing yellow-orange LED, on the subwoofer is flashing white LED. And so it takes a lot longer than 10 minutes. Fidelio B5 does not respond to the remote control, as if it was frozen. I am waiting a long time. Then unplug the device from the wall and connect after 2 minutes again. Everything is back to normal. Fidelio B5 works normally, but the update is unsuccessful.
What is wrong? How can I update my device?

    Hello Rafal,
I do this update from USB storage device. This version of the software downloaded from the Philips support. But I make a mistake.
Tell me is in the root directory of the USB paste only one of the four received file. For example, only - B5MCU.bin that all four files received and unpacked. Then I created a new directory UPG leave empty? Is in this directory the file is to be placed - B5MCU.bin (or all four received files)?
    Kind regards,
    Marek

    Hello Marek,

That's correct. Please upload all 4 files into the root of USB storage device. Then create UPG folder and leave it empty.

    I hope that helps.

    Kind regards,

    Hello Rafal

At last I was able to update the firmware of Fidelio B5.
The user of this device software updates should be stressed that the USB mass storage used for this purpose can not be too large. In my case, 4GB probably not work well with Fidelio B5. Here you can see one of the causes of the problems with the upgrade. Only a USB storage device 0.5 GB unless it possible to read the update files. Meaning may be the fact that the upgrade for me when it became possible to format the previously USB storage device as FAT16.

Besides these four upgrade files after downloading and unpacking should be placed inside created a new directory called UPG. Only so constructed directory should be included in the root directory of the USB.

To sum up: Support Philips should more precisely develop firmware update instructions posted on the Internet. There is also no obstacles to share for users ready packed in the warehouse UPG catalog download from Philips.

    Kind regards
    Marek
