philips 46pfl6606t + samsung hw-e450 soundbar will it work?

Im planning to buy the samsung hw-e450 soundbar, but will it work with hdmi-cec, hdmi-arc.

I want to use hdmi so that the soundbar is automatically started with tv, and so that the volume can be controlled from tv
-can it be done?

Hi,

I just bought the Samsung HW-E450 soundbar and connected it to my Philips TV 46PFL6606T via HDMI ARC and it works like a charm.
The soundbar is completely controlled via the philips tv remote.
The soundbar is switched ON/OFF when tv is switched ON/OFF, and volume is controlled using the philips tv remote.
I have mostly used the soundbar and the wireless subwoofer to play music, it's relatively good. even though subwoofer sends out some mid range sounds which is not desireable, it should only be really low frequencies from the bass.
I have solved this by placing the subwoofer under of my sofa on the floor, this way it sounds the best.
Im amazed how much bass this small subwoofer really pushes.
