PFL6007h input lag result test & tips

Hi everyone !

I take some time to do it and i hope it will be usefull. The reason i'm doing that it's because for gamer like me, it's really a big problem. So here is some input lag result using my old samsung syncmaster T220 which is popular for his low input lag, around 12 ms.
Be aware that the results take on the philips have to be combine with the lag from the samsung too.
I take several picture, so on the right you will see the philips pfl6007h, and on the left the Samsung syncmaster.
i'm using my pc with the Nvidia GTX 580 graphic card and the lag test from here http://tft.vanity.dk/inputlag.html

In 3D with game mode result = 182 ms ( what the hell is that !!! )


game mode with philips default EDID result = 62 ms


PC mode result with philips default EDID = 62ms


Game mode with Zalman M240W modded EDID result = 52ms


PC mode with Zalman M240W modded EDID result = 32ms ( the best one )


In overall, 3D mode is a real joke ( 182 ms ) and it's impossible to play game with that...
Using the default Philips EDID, the TV got bad but not horrible input lag. You have to understand that when you use console, blu-ray or any external device from the TV other than a computer, you can't do this kind of modification. So you will have the same result as the philips default EDID ( 62 ms ).
I Think that below 20ms or around 30ms it's a good input lag... because i know it can't totaly disapear.

But by override the EDID with the Zalman M240W one, it give good result like 32ms , even in 3D because it use line interlaced mode, you don't need to activate the 3D directly on the TV. That's why im pretty sure with a better firmware, we can finaly get one of the best passive 3D TV.

Please Philips make some effort about this, or give us the choice to enable checkerboard 3D.
