    USB 3.0 Harddrive from Intenso not supported

    Hello!

    I have purchased a new hard drive with 3 terrabyte from Intenso (Memory Box 3 TB). The Philips HTS4282 2.1 does not recognize the hard drive. Although the hard disk is downgradeable. Why is that?

    Please help, because I need to store my media files on the new hard drive (old one is damaged), it wants but can also play on the hts.

    Hi,

    I think, the HTS cannot cope with GUID Partioning Table (GPT: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GUID_Partition_Table), only with Master File Table (MFT: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Master_File_Table).

    MFT: up to 2 TB
    GPT: larger than 2 TB

    You can try the following: make partitions smaller than 2 TB...

    To Philips: Is there a chance for a firmware-solution, any other solution by Philips?
