    Bdp 9600

    Hi there; I have just bought a new 9600

    Issue I noticed is that it is noisy when reading a disk in particular accessing the directory that lists the various episodes; all sorts of grunts and bangs; is this normal?? I have noticed the message ROOT appear in the front display

    We have a 3000 series player which is a lot quieter and a Panasonic which you can hardly hear when performing the identical operation on the same DVD

    Plays quietly and ffwd without issue

    Advice most appreciated

    Player is being exchanged; it would be good to know if any other owners find the machine noisy when searching the root directory on DVD/Blu Rays
