55PFL8007 and audio pass-through

Hi,

I just bought the 55-inch TV model 55PFL8007 but I still wait for it to be delivered.

Meanwhile I am preparing all the connections for optimal use.

My receiver is a premium model from Pioneer but it is about five years old and that means that the internal HDMI-switch is HDMI v1.2 and by that not able to use with 3D material.

I have 3 devices I want to connect, PS3, DVB-S box and a MAC mini. My plan is to get three new HDMI cables and connect all devices directly to the TV. So far so good but then there´s the audio.

Does the TV have the possibility to pass-through audio from HDMI-in to Optical out?

The other obvious way to do it is to use optical cable from each device to the receiver but that would mean that I would have to change source both on the TV and on the receiver each time I want to switch between devices.

I tried to understand this by reading the manual but it wasn´t crystal clear, at least not to me.

passthrough only works with DolbyDigital. Not DTS.
