Sound volume alarm vs sleeptimer
Hello, I have the Philips Dockstudio app for my IPhone 4. I use this app as my alarm to wake up in the morning. So I need to put the sound loud to wake me up. But if I want to play me some music to fall in sleep with it I set the sleeptimer. But because the music volume is very loud for the alarm, I cannoy fall easy asleep.
My question is, is it posiible to add two sound volumes in the app. One for the sleeptimer music and one for the alarm sound. I think this would be very usefull for a lot op people.
Thanks in advance,

Which version you are using?
For 2.2.5, no matter what vol you have set, the alarm volume will always be at vol 16 (loud enough to make you wake up) in 16 seconds when you put it in the foreground.
So you can set the vol best for your sleep timer.

I am now using the apple clock app as my alarm clock with the DS1200 dock station, it works without increasing the alarm sound to ridiculous volumes, it doesn't continuously repeat the alarm music chosen ad nauseum, and it is easy to set up and use. Philips could do make their app better with an upgrade. Still love the docking station and the sound and design is very nice.

X10john... unfortunately this cannot be changed.
after upgrading to ios 6, something is done in the platform to limit the control when apps put to background. this allows only 30 secs alarm ringing in the background and cannot use the music as the tone.
why this is so?
before this updates the alarm is complained to be too soft and since it s too soft (using the vol set by user) and it only last for 30 secs, some complained that they cannot be waken up. this is to resolve that issue.
I agree with your last comment ... just use the build in alarm apps of apple. nice n simple.
