Recording menu lost in [TV guide => Provider mode]
Dear philips
I have a 40PFL5007 manufactured feb 2013.
I prefer the TV guide from the Provider in stead as from the network (internet?)
However, in the TV guide interface used in the Provider mode, I cannot see or enter the recorded TV programs.
I can see the recordings tab and menu using the netwerk mode, but not in provider mode!
I assume you should see your recorded items in both menu types.
Becasue I prefer the provider interface!

Hi,
No. On your TV-model, recordings are only available/possible with EPG from network.

This isn't written in any manual would be helpful.
And of course it doesn't make any sense.
Possible to fix it in a firmware update, or is it a commercial choice?

Hi Robert,
Toengel is right: in the 5000 range (until 2012), it was not possible to schedule recordings via broadcast EPG, only via IP-EPG. In the 2013 5000 model range (xxPFL5xx8)) this feature has been added.
In fact this is explained in the manual: see page 16 in the English manual under the chapter called "View programme guide". There is a section for "From broadcaster" and one for "From the Internet". If you carefully read these 2 chapters, you see that under "From the Internet", there are different options mentioned. Like e.g. "[Record]: Set a scheduled recording", while this is not listed in the "From broadcaster" part. And there are more differences in between the two EPG's.... It is spec.
