DS1155 stops after 15 minutes
Hello, since yesterday I have the DS1155. After 15 minutes it stops playing music. The music continues on my iPod, but I hear nothing. When I take my iPod off and place it back, the sound returnes. This is very annoying, does anyone have an idea how I can solve this?

The docking system switches itself to a standby mode after 15 minutes if there is no audio signal from the iPod. Maybe a standby mode setting on your iPod?

Yes, I have the same unit but I connect an iPhone 5 too it.
I just tested it and it played with the default iPhone music player for more then 45 minutes. I did not though the phone in the mean time and it played without dropping the audio.
So maybe your problem is more related to iPod's as I cannot reproduce it with an iPhone 5 so far.

I found a way to recreate your problem with my iPhone !!!
Got exactly the same problem while doing the following:
1. Found Youtube video to watch
2. Docked my iPhone 5 in the DS1155/12
3. Played the Youtube video. This time the audio works fine.
4. Left the device to charge for several hours
5. Started Youtube again and played the same video again. This time NO-AUDIO at all.
This explains something about my other issue issue with the Alarm function on my iPhone and getting double audio as well. Nowadays I wake up without hearing the double-desynced-audo issue. But it turns out the audio is only coming from my iPhone the DS1155 does nothing after leaving my iPhone 5 to charge for a while.
It's very sad really... basically I bought an insanely expensive charger for my iPhone.
I am pretty upset at Philips. Some of these problems where clearly known before putting the device up for sale. Which makes it misleading consumers...
And to be honest... like trying to get issues resolved with my Philips Television it does not seem like this will be resolved. Not soon. Not to any satisfactory outcome. And probably not ever
Unless Philips Moderators are going to make promises about dealing with this I will have no choice to return the device to the store, because it's clearly a faulty product.

Dear Miii3,
I do not have an iPod to test but an iPhone 5. Docking my iPhone 5 on our DS1155, we can play music for half hour plus without going to standby.
What music player are you using? Can you try another music player?
With thanks & regards,

I've had this docking station for five days now (purchased 4/20/13). The positives are not just the look and sound of the device, but it supports my iPhone 5 rather than just sitting on the charger.
The problems described in this feed are somthing I experience. I use the iHome's Sleep app for my alarm. The app plays music for 90 minutes and then goes silent to allow me to sleep. It uses music to wake me up. When I have used the charging cable that came with my phone, the audio that comes out is exacly how I described. When I use the docking station, the speaker turns off after 15 minutes and does not come back on unless I remove my iPhone 5 and redock. When I take my phone off the docking station, the music is reactivated on the phone's speakers. If it weren't for the vibrating option that the iHome Sleep app offers, I would have missed my wake-up alarm. It seem the only way for the speaker to stay active playing music is with the phone's native music app, which does me no good since I use the docking station for charging overnight and as my alarm.
It has turned into a very expensive charger and sadly I will have to return for another device that will allow me to hear my alarm when it goes off in the mornings.

Hi Miii3,
please would you let us know the exact model and generation of your iPod you use and also the serial number of your DS 3100/05 docking system? Once we have this we will investigate this issue further.
Thank you very much.

hi vincent,
i personally feel like this is not the same issue, it s another issue probably
but indeed i understand your frustration ...
@miii3 & vincent,
here in another thread stated another model (older one - DS3100) with the similar issue, but after exchanging for a new device, it's working fine afterwards... i think you may try exchange a new unit also...

hi, that must be quite frustrating
however, have you tried as kwinnie and others suggested to exchange it for a different piece?
