Screen Issue
Hi, not sure if this is posted in the correct place but here goes :
I have a Philips 5000 series LCD TV model 37PFL5603D 37" screen, its a few years old although we bought it second hand last November.
The top third of the screen is full of horizontal black, thin lines and they appeared a few weeks ago and have gradually been getting worse, very annoying when trying to watch. They are there no matter what tv programme we are watching, so its my guess that its a screen problem.
Anyone know what the problem is and how it could be resolved? I have a bad feeling that it might cost more than the tv is worth to fix it, but the tv has a fantastic picture ( apart from these lines) and it would be a shame to have to dump it. I was hoping it might be an easy fix, and we do have a local tv repair shop in the area, but as they charge just to come out and take a look, I thought it might be worth a try posting here first.
Here's hoping,
Regards
andy.
