    Power Issue with HTS3548W/98

    I purchased a Philips DVD home theatre system (HTS3548W/98) in Hong Kong about 4 - 5 years ago and have consistently had issues with it. The issue is that the power continually goes off and the standby light fickers when this happens thus not allowing the whole system to work (that is to turn it on). Even after having unplugged the system from the power source and leaving it unplugged for 30 minutes the system still does not fully turn on (the standby simply continues to flicker and the system is not able to be used). This is extremely frustrating - we had taken it to a Philips repair shop but they said that there was nothing wrong with it - I can only imagine that when they plugged it in it started immediately. When it does work, it is fine but too often it does not work. Are you able to assist? Has this issue arisen previously?
