Skype sound

Hi, just got an 8000. Lovely device, however, I find that I cannot hear anything on Skype, be it through the telly or through the Philips Blu Ray play sound system. I cannot find an option in the settings menu to look at this. Any suggestions please?

Hi.

The sound from skype comes from the TV so sound on TV have to be on to hear anything. Also remember the speakers is in the stand for the TV. So If you've mounted the TV on the wall without it's stand, you won't get any sound from skype or TV.

Also make sure you got the latest software.

Skype Audio only works with internal speakers - not via SPDIF, not via ARC.

However, you must admit, that's bloody silly! How many people are not going to be able to use this feature? Do you know if there will be a firmware update correcting this?
