Yesterday I had a nasty surprise. I turned my TV set on, and the image was all stripy. Horizontal stripes about 2,5 cm long and 2 mm wide. You could recognise the image, but it surely was not what I expected it to be. I had this problem both with an analog channel and digital channel, and while looking at an DVD. So it was not a problem from my cable TV provider. In the end I turned off my set, waited a few, and turned it on again. I got my normal picture back. Since then I have not seen this problem back.

Anyone care to hazard a guess what might be the cause of this problem The TV set is not that old, so age is not the problem.
