Has the Gogear Maxtreme Mp3/Mp4 player been canceled?

Hello,

It looks like my sony walkman of 4/5 years is about to give out, and I would like to hold off buying something new until this "rugged" Maxtreme music player becomes available.

There was a promotional video for this device released on youtube back in June 2012 and it looked very cool. Shock, water, and dust resistant music player, really one of its kind when you compare it to other devices out on the market. But there has not been any new updates since those videos have been posted and some online stores that carried it for preorder no longer do. I was wondering if anyone could assist me in understanding whether the release is just being kept under wraps or this could be a sign that the product has been canceled.

I can confirm that the GoGear Maxtreme has never been launched in any country. However, if you're still considering buying a portable multimedia player, have a look at our wide range of other GoGear MP3/ MP4 models available on sale; I'm sure you can find something suitable for you.
