Sound quality of the AW2000

I am considering the purchase of an AW2000 but certainly not before the AW control and management issues are addressed.
To the owners of the AW2000:
Do you appreciate the sound of it? Did you notice any distortion at high volume? How does it compare with other hi-fi amplifiers?

It's hard for me to say. I am not an audiophile. I bought the apparatus because of the technical specs (wifi, internet radio, spotify) rather than the sound quality. Even though the speakers I have attached are certainly not great, I am pleased with the sound.

Thank you. Probably the amplifier is the same as the one embedded in the AW speakers, that would make sense. I like the idea to have all in the same small box (radios, spotify, DLNA render and the amplifier) it is a brilliant idea. I hope they will fix the issues (which are really endemic). They also need to come with much better look and feel.

I could not wait and bought a AW2000, it was really easy to install it. Much easier than with my AW1000, don't know why. I like the sound of it, the bass are great. I have very good speakers connected to my AW2000. I took care not to install the latest firmware, works just fine with Spotify.

I am really happy with the AW2000, playing Spotify playlists all day long.
I am not a purist but the combination between my B&W 805 speakers and the AW2000 is perfect or good enough for me.
What I also like with the AW' is that I select a Playlist or a Radio and then kill the AirStudio app in Android.
The AW keeps playing the playlist or the Radio alone without AirStudio which does not drain my tablet battery.

Let's not forget there are still bugs and way to improve the overall behaviour as well as the user interface... But it is usable, it is improving and I could not do without it.
