DS9800W - rapidly turning on / off - power issue?
My DS9800W was working perfectly for 4 months until one day I can home to find it doing this:
Rapidly turning on and off. Green light coming on, then power going off. Then turning back on again. Repeated. Repeated. Makes a clicking noise each time.
Here's a video I took to see / hear what it's like: http://youtu.be/ohAoHWmwMO4
Is this just a power issue that something inside the speaker is broken?
I'm in Dubai, UAE.

That's very strange. Have you tried to unplug it for a little while and also have you tried a different socket?

I have exactly the same problem with my DS9800W/10 - it came up today however clicking seems faster in my speakers. I've been one happy user since october 2012. Please post if you find out anything. Thanks!

Dear bisigle and matt983,
please try the following steps:
1. Power off DS9800W
2. Power reset the router
3. When the router is power on and working fine, power on the DS9800W
4. Follow the Quick Start Guide and see if it can enter the setup mode (LED flashes green and yellow alternatively or red -> green -> yellow in WPS setup mode)
5. If it can enter the setup mode, setup again to see which step in QSG is failed
6. If DS9800W just keeps flashing green and doesn’t enter setup mode as described in step 4, refer to service

Also experiencing same issue - rapid on/off; clicking; green light steady.
Attempted to resolve using Philips Moderator Team suggestion. No use whatsoever.
This is my second pair of DS9800. First failed within 3 months. To now suffer a second failure confirms a wholly unreliable product. A quick scan of the web will reveal many, many customers complaining about the quality of this product. It will take a long time before I consider purchasing anything with a Philips logo.

Dear rosslyn,
wer are really sorry to hear you have such issues with our product. We will investigate this issue further and will update you once we have any solution for you. In the meantime, would you be able to PM me the serial number of your DS9800?
bisigle and matt983, would you be so kind and let me know if the instructions above helped to solve your issues?
Thank you very much.

Hello Tereza,
I have followed your instructions up to step 3. Then after turning on the speakers I've got the green light blinking swiftly for about 1-2 minutes. After that it started blinking red. I searched the forums and found out that this makes the speakers unusable
Please advise.

Hi, I'm in Brisbane, Australia with the same problem, but couldn't use it for a minute. This is the DS9800W. I opened the box, unpacked everything fallowed the instruction, "wait 35 sec" nothing... after 35 minutes... nothing. Just clicking noise and rapidly fleshing green light. Then nothing for a while. Tried another wall plug, another cable but nothing!
Any suggestion?

Hi, Any update on this device? Weeks just flying and I cannot use this thing, should I return it and forget Philips? All the forums are full with this problem but not with solution...

Hello!
Since one week I do have the same problem.
Is there anything that can be done by me or is it broken?
