Dark shadows on the screen
Hi Guys
I'm new to this forum, just wondered if anyone could tell me if this problem is fixable,
I have a 42" led tv, model 42PFL 5603D, i know it's an old model, purchased in 2008,
The problem i have is a dark shadow on the screen, it is in multiple places and more prominent with different colour
backgrounds, it is slowly getting bigger, is this a common fault, other than this, the TV has been great with no problems,
i hope it can be fixed but i think it's not going to be an easy fix,
cheers guys

This looks like a damaged display to me - if it is, you need hardware repair. I'd contact your closest Philips service center.

That is at it's exteme, depending on what colour the background is, it started off small and has slowly got worse, there has been no physical banging or hitting of the screen.
have you any idea how much a panel replacement would be if it's needed, just a ballpark figure
thanks

I think it's a defect of display. For example dirt between the lcd-layers or a deformation of one layer.
If it is the display the price can be very different from type to type...i estimate it will cost 400 to 700 euros.
