Alternatives to AirStudio
Hi all,
With the current state and implemented functionality I would like to limit the use of AirStudio to performing firmware upgrades. I haven't found one single app to replace all parts of AirStudio, but I would like to hear other users experiences with alternatives.
Personally I am using BubbleUPnP for Android to send music from my DNLA server to my Fidelio speaker and it works perfectly.
I haven't found a way to connect the Deezer app to the speaker. Has anyone succeeded in playing music from either Deezer or Spotify on a Fidelio speaker without using AirStudio?

I have tried Tunein radio directly. Also Twonky. Twonky is what the Airstudio app is based upon and it does not work particularly well having many of the glitches Airstudio has.
I haven't found a good alternative because I do not want to stream from my tablet or phone to the (in my case) aw2000. I only want to control it, exactly as I am used to do with my squeezebox (they should never have stopped making these).

I am using Philips MyRemote App, which looks having better performance. By the way, are you using Android or iOS device ? There is a new Android AirStudio version released recently.

I'm primarily using the Android version, but I have also tried with an iOS device. As mentioned I don't use the Play part of the app anymore, and the Services part I think runs as a http service on the speaker that is just embedded in the app, so that should be the same across platforms.

The most recent android version only is a small improvement. Handling and performance are still extremely poor. I wonder if the developers did have a look at competing products to see what the standard is.
