    BDP7700/12
    BDP7700/51
    BDP7700/93

    V3.71 includes the following changes:

    1. Switch off the player.
    2. Switch on the player.
    3. Go to Setup Menu (Do not go to Easylink / Preferences).
    4. On the remote control press UP to scrolled to ADVANCED.
    5. In ADVANCED, select RESTORE FACTORY DEFAULT.
    6. The player would automatically restart.

Finally with this 3.71 firmware I solved all the issues related to 3D (which came out after updating firmware from the working one 3.34 to that "buggy" 3.46 or 3.53).

With 3.71 now I can see any 3D blu-ray without any video problem.
As I asserted, no problems were related to Philip's TV (40pfl8606), to glasses (PTA517 and PTA507) or other settings!

After updating my BR becomes randomly unresponsive. First after update, if rebooted but refused to open the tray. I had to disconnect the power to get it back. Next, after playing a YouTube video, it stopped responding and again I had to take the power off.

    Hello Dear Support Team,

I upgrade my BDP-7700 with new version V 3.71 (now instaled 3'th version), and still have the same problem. I use it as a media centre, use external 1TB USB HDD (3,5"), and have the following problem: When I want to play same mkv. 3D videos, which player can not read, player search for an infinite. Can't go back, or stop, or go to home menu. I have to disconnect from the electricity. Once again run the player ... I have to say that I lose my desire to watch video.
I think it should after a certain time, when player can't read file (after 30-60sec) go back to start menu.
When I play same files through the TV that let me know: "I can not read" ( cc 30sec) and then can I choose another file that works.
I will not only criticized, 60 percent of the films 3D work perfectly. Can read subtitles too, see:

    Regards, Miro

I did a factory reset a while ago. But my player still has a lot of issues. Especially with resuming when a disc is already in the player, just like before the update. It will freeze completely without starting anything. It only shows the background of the player's main menu and the player itself is showing "DVD" (in this case). Totally unresponsive. I have to unplug the device to get it working again.

Even after unplugging it will sometimes not start properly. And just now it did show the main menu for a second before deciding it had a dvd inside and then it froze again.

To get the disc out I have to unplug it, plug it back in, and keep pressing the eject button repeatedly to catch it before it starts to think. Only then will it work again.

Have been using this player for a month now (had a 7600 before, this one broke down after 2 years). With my 7700 I have same issues as mentioned above: freezes, especially from standby with a disk already in player, display is showing 'DVD', one cure is to unplug ...
@Philips: I hope you can/will fix this soon (my previous 7600 had same issues).

Like mirob I have got the same issues. When trying to play a 3D MKV from USB connection the player gets stuck. The screen turns purple, display says AUTO or PLAY but nothing happens any more. NO reaction on remote control or buttons. Needs to disconnect from power before anything works again
