Background Noise/Do not disturb question

We just got the B120 Baby video monitor and I have a couple of questions for Philips or users:

After the easy setup on our iPhone 5, 4S and iPad mini (all on current iOS 6.1.2 with current in.sight app v.2.2.1 and monitor version 5.5) we noticed a pretty loud background noise. It is similar to a white noise and the noise level shows about 60% of noise in the app. When notification is set to the recommended level to pick up noise it sends us push notifications due to the background noise but not due to actual noise from our baby. We tried different rooms in our house and every room has the same amount of noise.
If there is a fix to reduce the background noise, please advise.

Second question is, how can we be notified with push alerts when our phone is on Do Not Disturb mode at night?
This would be very beneficial as we need to be woken up when our baby is awake or cries, hence having a video monitor with notification messages.

Hi Metzga21,

if your phone is set up to Do Not Disturb mode you should still be able to receive App notifications on your phone. this function disables only the phone alerts as missed calls, msgs etc.

the background noice is adjustable in your Audio settings for each monitor, just lower down the percentage of the audio sensitivity in your audio settings for this specific monitor.
