I'd love to see it too. Samsung and Sony have it already.

I don't think they care enough about their customers! I just spend 50 min with them on the phone with nothing but promises that I've heard for the last 3 month!

Reading these forums I if Philips are using expensive European developers whilst the rest develop in Asia.
Have just completed a 2 year project using Philippine developers myself.

Having said that a lot of the development for top brands still seems to be outsources to UK companies and not done directly.

    Who Knows.
Seriously thinking of buying the LG 550W instead
I liked my 7606 but seems to many issues with Philips after reading these forums.

Need a common platform so apps interchangeable between manufacturers.
They must all be webkit and java based , and if u have 1 working on a brand x , i bet it don't take too much effort to make it work on brand b, if you have the code.

Bring on Apples TV's eta later this year.

For me, for Philips to have an attractive smart tv offering in the UK, they need to have Lovefilm, 4OD, ITVPlayer and Netflix. The TV's are, as far as I am concerned, superb, but this lets it all down. Would someone from Philips let us have an idea if these are coming?

    Thanks

Yes. I want lovefilm and I don't understand why I have so much garbage in the Net Tv Section, that wants to track my personal informations and NOTHING what I really need as a customer.

I think some managers at philips really needs to be FIRED.

    Your Customer, Sirs!!

    Hi,

Philips is not responsible for the Apps - they only provide the platform... Did you talk to Amazon, if they are making an app?
