    Shuffle Function Not Working

    Hello,

The shuffle function on the MP3 player doesn't work. It shuffles all the songs, but they are always in the same order. And when I restart the device, the shuffle restarts from the initial song in the same order. I've tried to turn the shuffle off and used all options for repeat, but none of this has worked.

Any suggestions? It's too late to take the device back to the shop and too early to buy a new one.

    Thanks.

Hi! Do you know the model number? Have you tried the repair function via Songbird?

    Hi,

Model number SA4RGA02BN/12. I've tried a few times to fix my device with the Songbird application, but I always get the message: There was an error while checking for new firmware. Please verify your network connection and try again. This is with and without the host based firewall running.

I also tried with the Philips Device Manager GoGear. When that starts, it asks me twice "Update the firmware through Philips Songbird" then it fails with no error (no updating, update box is greyed out..).

    Thanks.

I have the same issue with a SA4ARA08KF/97. The best workaround I've found so far is to go to "All Songs" mode, start playing a song (choosing a different starting song each time), then going to play mode and switching shuffle on from there.

I have exactly the same problem. Sometimes I delete a few songs so the order of the songs
changes and I don't have to listen to the same songs over and over again...

I seem to have this problem too. After the newest songbird upfate, I've managed to actually update the firmware, but it didn't fix my problem.
I've also used the reset button, restore to factory settings and formated the device, neither has helped. As started in the quoted post, if I delete a song, it generates a new list to use for the shuffle mode.

The mp3 player is a Gogear raga 2gb, SA4RDA02KN/12 with this line under it: JF1G1248024166.

Any help to make the shuffle mode actually shuffle would be lovely.
