    InRange tag AEA1000 doesn't pair with iPhone 4S

    Since a couple of weeks I've been lost in able to connect the InRage tag to my iPhone 4S (software version 6.1.3 [10B329]).

    The linking procedure is working, and the tag is found by the iPhone. Thereafter trying to 'pair' the connection gets lost around three quaters of the way on the progress bar.

    Repeating the procedure isn't succesful; everytime the same failure.

    Please inform me on the way to connect my device as it has been connected (paired) before on the same phone.

    Dennis

    Hi Dennis,

    Have you tried
    1) resetting the Leash by taking out the battery?
    2) set 'Forget device' in your iPhone 4S

    Kind regards,

    Thank you for replying so quickly,
    in answer to your questions:
    ad 1) Yes; I took it out several times, with different time intervals;
    ad 2) Yes; both on the bluetooth and within the app. Even deleted the app completely and reinstalled it;

    As I 'googled' there are more problems with pairing problems: anything to do with the update to 6.1.3?

    Hi again,

    Would you please help to check the below as well:

    1) if the battery has sufficient battery level;
    2) when you place the battery back in, the Leash will blink in green and red light. The connection has to be done in 2 mins. Have you exceed these 2 mins; &
    3) after you press 'forget device' in your Bluetooth menu on your 4S, have you tried restarting your phone? (sorry this may sound silly for you but it does work for me before).

    Let us know if all these do not help you.

    In reaction to your questions:
    ad 1) three out of four bars (75%);
    ad 2) the iPhone sees the Leash, but can establish a connection within the two minutes;
    ad 3) restarted the iPhone....... and it worked!!!!!

    Thank you for looking into the problem. The Leash is connected again, but suffers from "link lost" problems, while the iPhone and Leash are within 10 inches.
    I have set the range to 'far';
    I have set the sensitivity to 'less';
    but still it encounters 'link lost' problems on a regularly basis.
    Any trics in how to overcome this problem?
